Last Updated: April 25, 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing compassionatecarenotary.com or utilizing the services of Compassionate Care Notary, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our site or services.
2. Description of Services
Compassionate Care Notary provides mobile Notary Public services in the State of California. We travel to the client's location, verify the identity of signers according to California state law, and witness the signing of documents.
3. Not a Law Firm - No Legal Advice
Compassionate Care Notary and its representatives are not attorneys licensed to practice law in California and may not give legal advice or accept fees for legal advice. We cannot draft legal documents, explain the legal effects of documents, or advise you on which documents you may need. If you have questions regarding the contents of your documents, please consult a qualified attorney before scheduling our services.
4. Identification Requirements
All signers must present a valid, unexpired, government-issued photo ID (such as a California Driver's License or US Passport) as required by California Civil Code. In cases where an ID is unavailable (such as hospital patients or inmates), signers may be identified by two credible witnesses who possess valid IDs, or specific facility identification as permitted by law (utilizing specialized facility protocols). We reserve the right to refuse service if the identity of the signer cannot be legally verified.
5. Fees and Payment
Notarization fees are strictly regulated by the State of California at $15 per notarized signature. In addition to the standard notarization fee, a separate travel/convenience fee will be charged for mobile services. The travel fee will be agreed upon prior to dispatch. Payment is due at the time services are rendered.
6. Appointments and Cancellations
Our physical office at 33503 Western Ave, Union City, CA 94587 operates strictly by appointment only. No walk-ins are accepted. If you need to cancel a mobile appointment, please provide at least 2 hours' notice. Failure to cancel may result in a non-refundable travel fee.
7. Right to Refuse Service
A Notary Public may decline to perform a notarial act if the notary determines the signer does not appear to understand the nature of the transaction, seems to be acting under coercion or duress, or if the document appears to be incomplete or fraudulent.
8. Limitation of Liability
Compassionate Care Notary is not responsible for the contents or legal binding of the documents being notarized. Our sole liability is limited to the correct execution of the notarial act in accordance with California law.
